I've done my researching and I've tried everything from checking my file location, to changing settings in System Options/Document Properties, but I can't seem to fix my issue. I try to dimension a tap and regardless of what I do it just dimensions the hole's diameter.A blind hole requires the tap to pull the chip out of the hole, meaning it is a spiral fluted tap. Do I tap with a cutting tap or a forming tap? A forming tap would probably break off in the hole but apparently that's not a decision I'm capable of making. Thread milling this hole would be easy, but since I don't have a 1-1/8-8 tap I'll just buy one and charge you for it.
